Blast Off! Launch Day for Unlikely Icons

After what has felt like months of hard work and preparing, the new range of Unlikely Icons casual t-shirts have gone live! The range dropped at 7pm UK time on 3 April 2022, the birthday of what we hope is something big!

It’s an amazing feeling seeing friends and unfamiliar names alike order products that I’ve put so much time, effort and thought into. If you’ve ordered from our range I’m so grateful, especially for the buzz I got from seeing your order roll in, quickly followed by relief that people in fact do like what I’m doing!

The whole build-up to launching a product is full of fleeting moments of self-doubt and worry, or perhaps I’m just a serial over-thinker. I regularly felt like I was putting myself out there to be judged or shot down, frequently questioning what I’m doing and desperately striving to do everything just perfectly. Will people think this tweet is daft? Why would Turnbull from Skylights want to wear one of my tees? What if people hate the t-shirts? But with some great friends and family supporting me, a brilliant wife desperate to help however she can and plenty of follows, likes, and retweets from strangers on social has brought me this far, I’d never have thought I’d be about to go and post orders to you lot all over the country.

A simple comment, retweet, like or follow on social means so much to a small business trying to get off the ground. It’s something that I’ll certainly carry with me going forward, it only takes a second to hit the like button, but it could help that new band, small business, or new clothing label through those moments of need.
